David reports on Sail GP and Hectors Dolphins, my resignation as Chair of Biodiversity and Biosecurity Committee and CCC proposed asset sales and vote.
On my resignation, David noted the delay for three years of the revitalisation of the Canterbury Biodiversity Strategy and that funds had been set aside for that time.
I have been a Councillor for 14 months and made this my priority, that this was not supported disappoints me greatly, rather than whine about, I took action and am more determined to see this revitalised in my current term.
On my resignation 7.57 … “highlights the fact that an elected representative can take a moral stance when things go wrong” I also want to acknowledge the seven other Councillors that supported the motion Clr’s Cranwell, Pauling, Southworth, Byrnes, Dietsche, Edge, Davies and Robinson
