The first three months as a regional Councillor have past by in a blur….. We have had a wide range of briefings from Te Tiriti, regional civil defence and legislation, to land, the work ahead in this trimester and the possible future of local government. I have loved every minute. We have established our Committees and I am looking forward to my role as Chair of the Biodiversity and Biosecurity Committee. I am also on the Christchurch West Melton water zone committee, Christchurch and Banks Peninsula Biosecurity Advisory Group and a liaison for the Youth Roopu. Locally, I am getting up to speed with issues around the Bromley composting site, Woolston industrial dust and public transport reliability.
